Bowie Knife, Keyed Bugie and Canteen, 1890s by John F. Peto, is a representational art which consists different objects such as Bowie knife, Keyed Bugie and a Canteen. The form, which the work of art looks like is the different objects the artist used. It is tromp l'oeil artwork, which the objects look real. The emphasis of the painting, which is the viewer's attention that would be centered on is on the Bowie Knife, Keyed Bugie and Canteen. The objects look like they are very important and used for survival. I didn't really like this artwork because, i couldn't understand the meaning behind this painting and it is a subordination which is a less visually interesting area.
