The first art work that caught my eye was, The Nation Makers, a, 1902 by Howard Pyle. The Nation Makers represents the artist's view of the battle of Brandywine during the American Revolution. The content of the image has a a line of soldiers in which most of them are holding weapons with a tattered clothing marching forward through a field of grass. The solider holding the flag has caught my eye as soon as i looked at the image, the solider holding the flag is the focal point of the image. The composition of the image has green and white as dominant colors.I like this art work because it tells a story and shows no matter how bad your past is, you should keep on going forward.
